At Holistic Community Therapy, we provide structured, community-based and virtual mental health services for adults in Portland, Oregon. Our work involves comprehensive assessment, clinical formulation, and functional treatment of complex mental health presentations within an insurance-based outpatient model.
Mental health remains a small specialty area within OT. This role is designed for clinicians who want to intentionally build depth in that part of their practice over time.
We primarily serve individuals from historically marginalized communities and value culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. We strongly encourage clinicians from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
This is a salaried, full-time role with structured onboarding, close supervision, and real opportunity to build specialty depth in adult mental health Occupational Therapy.

ABOUT YOU
You may be early in your career, or you may already have experience and be looking for a role where mental health work is taken seriously.
Work well independently and manage your time responsibly
Use supervision thoughtfully and ask questions when needed
Care about doing careful documentation and following through
Are comfortable building relationships with clients over time
Want to keep developing your clinical thinking rather than staying surface-level
It is especially well suited to an Occupational Therapist who wants to transition into or deepen their work in adult mental health with strong structure and supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Occupational Therapist at Holistic Community Therapy, you will be responsible for:
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
Develop and implement occupation-based treatment plans
Provide ongoing mental health treatment focused on functional goals in daily life
Deliver services in both community-based and virtual settings
Maintain a minimum of 22 completed client sessions per week
Complete documentation within established timeframes
Participate in supervision and continuing education

BENEFITS
Workload & Structure – Full-time clinicians work approximately 36-hour schedule, including a minimum of 22 completed sessions per week, with paid collaboration time built into the role.
Salaried position – $72,000–$84,000 annually, depending on experience and readiness for the role.
During onboarding, clinicians receive a guaranteed salaried base with structured support as caseload builds.
This role is designed differently from many traditional settings — with a focus on clinical depth, structured support, and a sustainable pace of work.
6% Retirement Match - We provide a 6% employer retirement match to support long-term financial stability.
Paid Time Off – Paid vacation leave, floating holidays, and sick leave in accordance with Oregon law.
Health Reimbursement Benefit – Available to full-time clinicians.
Continuing Education and Supervision – CE reimbursement plus in-house training and structured supervision built into your role.
Remote & Community Support – Paid travel time, mileage reimbursement, internet stipend, and home office stipend.

REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, you'll need:
Active Oregon Occupational Therapy license
Residence in the Portland, Oregon area
Minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred, though mature new graduates considered
CPR certification
Clear background check
Eligibility for insurance panel credentialing
